Immersive Site-Specific Works

The End of the Last Act

  • The videos were projected on the gallery walls and floor beneath it to create a stage-like setting and a cathartic immersive experience for viewers to watch or walk into and engage with - become a part of the wrok - shadows

  • Exhibited at the Fourth Wall Project and Gallery 263 in Boston, MA. .
    Theatrical Multi-Screen Arrangement:
Multiple projections are positioned across both the gallery wall and floor, forming a dramatic, stage-like environment heightened by footage shot in saturated red light. The composition evokes the mood of a classic theater’s red curtain, used as a cyclical motif to signal the perpetual merging of ending and beginning.
At times, the projected footage plays in perfect synchronization, then purposely drifts apart—allowing glimpses of tragic, fated endings and blurring the boundaries between the curtain’s opening and closing, as well as the looped narrative’s start and finish

Immersive installation merging new media techniques with themes of ancient greek theater, exploring digital distortion and the visual language of fear. Footage of the film’s female heroine meeting her tragic endings: first hung like her ancient inspiration Antigone then shot like so many female victims today, was re-recorded and layered repeatedly creating an abstracted visual and audio the emphasised the replayed narrative since the begining of timethrough today.
