“I write, erase, write again—
and then a poppy blooms.”
— Tachibana Hokushi

THE WORK

Inspired by Hokushi’s timeless haiku, Stephanie Horne’s Poppy Blooms series captures this rhythm of becoming — each piece formed through cycles of pouring, removing, and reworking.

THE SETTING

Wander the storied rooms of the Aldredge House Museum for a one-night exhibition that bridges past and present. More than twenty works—spanning new resin pieces and earlier mixed media and fashion works—are staged in quiet dialogue with the history of the home, once belonging to the artist’s great‑great‑grandmother.
